OUR HISTORY

Our Story

PT Pros was founded in 1980 as Kentucky Physical Therapy by physical therapist Connie Hauser in Barbourville, Kentucky. Over the next 20 years, we grew to include several clinical sites throughout southeastern Kentucky before changing our name to PT Pros in 2002.

Today, we have grown to include over 100 team members, serving all corners of the state. We are involved in professional organizations, including the American Physical Therapy Association and the Kentucky Physical Therapy Association. Our team advocates for better healthcare legislation at the state and national level. Our clinics are dedicated to service and actively participate in local organizations, churches, and events to promote healthcare and well-being in the communities we serve.

Testimonials

When Emalyn started coming to PT Pros, she couldn’t stack things because her coordination was compromised. She couldn’t run, jump, or hop. Here we are, nine months later, and she is able to do all of the things a normal and healthy four year-old can do. We wouldn’t be where we are today without PT Pros and Ms. Emily. Emily is all smiles and giggles when she busts through those doors!

PT Pros was the best! I came in two weeks out from a tibia fibula break with rods and screws. Within 10 weeks, I was able to fully walk and return to normal activity. Ian and the staff were fabulous to work with. Appointments were easy to make and always ran smoothly. The staff gets to know you and makes sessions personalized just for you. I could not have asked for a better place for recovery. Thank you, PT Pros!

I’m currently a senior soccer player at WCHS. I injured my knee in our first set of scrimmages. Fearing my last season of the sport I loved was over, my hope for my senior season was lost. Then I met a great rehabilitation team in PT Pros, who rehabilitated me in the fastest, safest way possible. I graduated from PT with plenty of the season left. Thank you to Lydia and everyone else who contributed to my successful recovery. Roll colonels!
